Synchronicity

Open to new opportunities

I am a big believer in this word and that things happen for a reason.

Synchronicity

The simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.

Oxford languages

To understand why this is the case, I guess it would be helpful to understand a few things about me and my background.

It’s time for me introduce myself to you.

My name is Sinja. Don’t be afraid of the pronunciation. It is actually quite simple.

You pronounce my name like Sonja but with an I instead of the O. So, that means it is not pronounced like Ninja.

Early in my life my passion was ballet. It was all I knew how to do well. Yes, I am an ex ballerina however, my parents didn’t think this was a sustainable, proper job back then after spending a lot of money on my education. I did as they asked and went to university but I was lost for a while. I dabbled in a few things and found organisational psychology and economics of interest.

To cut a long story short, eventually I found my second passion which is helping people make change happen. I have been working in this field within corporate organisations for more than 20 years.

About three years ago I recognised that I was not living my dream. I was not loving what I was doing anymore and I didn’t realise that this feeling had snuck up on me. In a way I guess, I got stuck. Stuck helping others do change but not able or willing to change myself. This seemed at odds with what I was trying to achieve and so I became curious. Curious about myself and why my spark was diminishing. Curious about why I felt that change is impossible when I know that it is not.

I discovered that I was really comfortable in my corporate job. I had a good job, I was happy with my level and salary and yet I felt unfulfilled. Bored even. I knew there was more for me and my life but I didn’t know how to level up or even with what to level up until I discovered coaching. Coaching seemed ideal as it fitted well with my existing skill set and my intuition told me that it was right. I wasn’t listening to it though. I was too busy trying to make a decision with my head because I was fearful of having to give up a good job with a good salary and start again. If there is one thing I have learned in my life though, it is that things work out much better for me when I make decisions based on my intuition than when I make decisions with my head. Of course I use both but I can tell by how I feel whether it is right or not more than what the pros and cons are.

Synchronicity

As soon as I started exploring coaching courses I kept seeing specific number sequences like 11:11 or 22:22 everywhere. When I looked at my phone…there they were. When I received an email related to the topic of coaching it would be received at 11:11. I would see it on number plates. In shops. Literally everywhere.

When I was thinking about or writing business plans for my coaching business, the numbers would pop up somewhere. I want to start my own business but am too afraid to for financial reasons. “Will I be able to sustain the level of income I have become accustomed to from my corporate roles”, is a question that is constantly on my mind.

This is where synchronicity comes in.

Synchronicity is a term originally coined by psychologist Carl Jung that refers to deeply meaningful coincidences which mysteriously occur in your life. When you experience synchronicity, you’ll have experiences that seem far too significant to be mere day-to-day serendipitous encounters.

I started looking into numerology to find meaning in the numbers. Essentially I was being told by the Universe that I was on the right path. I started to pay attention to how I felt when I engaged in conversations around coaching. I found it energising. Something I hadn’t felt for a while in my corporate roles. I literally lit up like a Christmas tree once I had enrolled in my coaching course.

Another observation I make is that as this year is coming to a close and a new year is about to start, I am closing one door but taking the courageous action of walking through the threshold of another that has opened right before me.

So at the end of 2021 I am starting to build the foundations of my coaching business where all my passions have been rolled into one. Serving people. Yes, helping people like you through change. Any change.

The leap of faith was too big though so I am taking a cautious step and will be transitioning from my full time corporate role into my coaching business full time over the next 12 months. Yes, logic won over my heart in the end. I know I’m heading in the right direction even if I have to do it slowly.

New Beginnings. I love them. They have magic in them.

I would be honoured if you joined me on this new journey of mine. Let’s effect change in this world together by building a more sustainable future for ourselves and the next generations one person at a time.

For change to take effect a ripple is required and that ripple begins with you.

As a personal coach, my passion is to help people like you find this power within themselves and use it to transform not only themselves but those and the world around them.
